Joyce Romanoff coming to Seattle Design Center!

From block printing to hand painting to inlaid materials to natural fibers to fine art, Joyce Romanoff, President of Maya Romanoff, will explore the world of handcrafted wall coverings and its evolution over the last century culminating in a live wallpaper-making demonstration by a Maya Romanoff artisan.

Participants will gain knowledge and understanding of the historical methods of manufacturing handcrafted wallcoverings before the twentieth century and in-depth exposure to the twentieth-and twenty-first-century canon. They will learn how products are manufactured and developed, the benefits and applications for artisanal products, and how to utilize artisanal wall coverings in design.

Presented by Trammell-Gangé and ASID with IDCEC continuing education unit available.
