We are excited to announce the 2025 Design Excellence Awards for ASID Washington State! Here is your opportunity to feature your talent as an ASID designer and receive the recognition you deserve. To celebrate 50 years of ASID we will be celebrating the design industries best at our Annual Meeting. There are design categories for residential and commercial projects as well as student categories.

KEY DATES – 

July 15th – Online Competition Entry Deadline 

September 25th – Annual Meeting with Awards Gala, Seattle

All members of ASID Washington State in good standing are eligible to enter. Contest information and entry form are available in the link below. Lowe Delgado is a Seattle-based Interior Designer with an eye for high-editorial style who executes with precision, creativity, and practicality. Their experiences have shaped them into a resourceful artist who creates residential spaces that embody timelessness, playfulness, and individual identity for those who call the space home.

Lowe Delgado is a Seattle-based Interior Designer with an eye for high-editorial style who executes with gender-neutral practicality and livable accessibility. Their experiences have shaped them into a resourceful artist who creates with a sense of timelessness while being keenly aware of market trends and client needs.

Lowe is currently the Principal Designer at Delgado Interiors. Previously Lowe worked as the Senior Interior Designer at RD Interiors in Seattle, WA. Before RD Interiors, Lowe worked for five years as an Interior Designer at Murray Franklyn where they directed the Home Staging/Merchandising program, and designed high-end residential homes. Previous to MF, Lowe worked in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the internationally published WRJ Design, while there, they worked on residential design, showroom visuals, and co-designed the exhibition of Bunny Melon’s Private Collection at Sotheby’s auction house which was featured in Architectural Digest.

Lowe obtained a fine arts graphic design degree at BYU-Idaho in 2014. During their schooling Lowe completed a rigorous editorial design internship at Hearst’s Country Living Magazine in New York City.

Currently, Lowe resides in Seattle with their two children. Even with a full plate Lowe prioritizes time and energy for their interests which include– swimming and polar plunging, fashion, traveling, vocal performance, and exploring nature.

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) advances the interior design profession and communicates the impact of design on the human experience. We collaborate with others to promote the value of interior design. We prepare our members to excel in a dynamic and evolving profession.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) offers students an incredible opportunity to explore the kitchen and bath industry while building relationships and honing their design skills. As a student member, you can enjoy a variety of benefits, including free or discounted design programs, access to job boards, local chapter meetings, and the prestigious KBIS event. Students can also participate in the NKBA Student Design Competition and scholarships, mentorship programs, and fun local events. With a personalized NKBA web page and many more perks, joining NKBA as a student is the perfect way to launch your design career!

Interior Design Society (IDS) members are highly qualified design experts who specialize in residential interiors. They are actively engaged in the Seattle design community and on top of the latest products and trends. From new construction and major renovations to interior remodeling and décor, a design professional is instrumental in making a project run smoothly, time-efficiently and cost-effectively, while also achieving the most pleasing and harmonious design.

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) advocates for advancement in education, design excellence, legislation, and leadership to increase the value and understanding of interior design as a profession. Student members have access to exceptional resources for education and professional development. Membership is designed to give you unique opportunities to be involved in leadership and build your connections before graduation!

For over 40 years, NWSID has fostered strong relationships between Seattle’s top residential interior designers and the trade resources they trust. We’re more than an organization. We’re a place to learn, connect and collaborate.

      • This course will begin with the exploration of diverse cultures and how color is perceived by these potential clients. We will identify the historical significance of color families and in conclusion, view and compare cultural similarities and disparities among color families. The goal is to assist designers in making educated choices relating to color selection and taking into consideration the inhabitants of these multicultural environments.

      • Precious metals are valued for their beauty, durability, scarcity, and workability. This course explores the history, symbolism, and characteristics of precious metals and how to use them in modern luxury bath and kitchen design.

Following the event, we will have the opportunity to explore “windows to your soul”, a yoga and sound bath session guided by the talented Elizabeth Arno.With over 13 years of experience as a certified wellness practitioner, she specializes in yoga instruction, sound healing, stress management, and Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Mastery. Through guided meditation, participants will relax fully as healing frequencies of singing bowls and other instruments wash through these sacred windows, cleansing each corner of being.

Additionally, Matt Thompson (IIDA NPC President) will discuss current advocacy efforts in Washington, Ruby Thorp, CHID, CID (CA), NCIDQ, WELL AP will provide key information on the NCIDQ exam, and Brookelyn Robertson will share her expertise in supporting commercial interiors through her work at Williams Sonoma. A Q&A session with all speakers will follow.
