Student Career Day 2026 is a full day designed specifically for emerging interior designers. This exciting event brings students together with working professionals, industry leaders, design resources, and the vibrant Seattle design community.
Whether your passion lies in residential design, commercial spaces, hospitality, or you’re still exploring your path, this is your chance to step beyond the classroom and experience the industry firsthand.
WHAT TO EXPECT
● 8:30 AM — Doors open, coffee, and free headshots. We’re starting a little earlier than in past years. Professional headshots (sponsored by Portrait Magazine) are available to the first 50 students who arrive.
● Keynote: Elizabeth Lord Levitt. A nationally recognized voice in the design industry, speaking on “The Essential Team Members of a Successful Project.”
● Panel discussions with local industry experts — pairing Elizabeth’s national perspective with on-the-ground insight from designers working in the Pacific Northwest.
● Lunch, included.
● Guided tours through select showrooms at the Seattle Design Center — a chance to see and feel products and talk to expert showroom staff.
● Time throughout the day to talk directly with interior designers and industry professionals, ask questions, and make some real connections.
● A student lounge for anyone who needs to step away — it’s a longer day than we’ve run in the past, so we built in a place to reset.
● Raffle prizes to close out the day — each participating organization brings one, so it’s worth sticking around for the drawing.
