Frequently Asked Questions
Seattle Design Center is the nucleus of the Pacific Northwest design community and the place for inspiration and thought leadership for Pacific Northwest designers and the clients they serve.
Yes. Seattle Design Center is open to the public and would love for you to explore the showrooms. You are more than welcome to browse throughout Seattle Design Center to gather inspiration. However, we recommend hiring a licensed interior designer to lead you through your design project. Any of the showrooms can provide recommendations of some of the best interior designers in the Pacific Northwest to meet your needs. Also, sample sales are held throughout the year, providing an opportunity to shop SDC without a licensed designer.
Children are allowed in the showrooms with careful supervision. We suggest that you leave your strollers at the entrance.
With more than 600 manufacturers represented in its 20-plus showrooms, SDC is your destination to ignite creativity and inspire the highest level of interior design imaginable. Discover the finest brands, custom furniture, handmade rugs, designer fabrics, bespoke lighting, and high-end finishes you deserve to have in your new home. Each of the signature showrooms has a reputation for catering not only to the interior design community, but also to design enthusiasts, creators, and architects alike. It is the epicenter for sourcing the highest quality of diverse luxury products, discovering the latest trends, cultivating inspiration, and providing a one-stop-shop to bring your one-of-a-kind vision to life.
Some showrooms are trade-only and others are open to the public. This information can be found in the Showroom Directory. Regardless, we recommend hiring an interior designer. Trying to order custom, made-to-order pieces is a difficult process for anyone who isn’t familiar with shopping through a showroom.
